It started quietly.
My jeans felt tight by mid-afternoon.
Dresses I used to love suddenly clung in the wrong places.
Sitting down meant adjusting my waistband. Standing up meant pulling my top down.I hadn’t gained weight.
I hadn’t changed how I ate.
And yet… my belly felt like it had a mind of its own.
At first, I blamed myself.
Then I stopped buying fitted clothes altogether.
